Canesten cream for bad nappy rash. Nappy rash is caused by a fungal skin infection so needs to be treated with an anti-fungal agent when it's severe. In mild conditions a barrier cream - sudocream/bethanum/metanium are effective when coupled with frequent nappy changes.

all 3 of mine only got sore bums when they was teething i use to use a combo mixture of vasaline and sudo crem.when they got really sore because of teething i would give their bums plenty of fresh air,i also used metanium cream its yukky and bright yellow but its brilliant stuff.

Probably an old wives tale but using potato flour helped ( after trying metanium, canesten, sudocream, camomile tea with cotton wool instead of wipes and nappy free time when possible) It was definitely a teething nappy rash though so it may have just been time and the combination of everything....

Metanium was the only thing that worked for me (well for DS). Hope it works for you.

Definitely letting the baby's bottom breath without the nappy is great for nappy rash but also I found Purepotions nappy cream brilliant - it natural as well

If you make the chamomile tea, soak a piece of soft cloth (like a bit of muslin) in it, wring it out gently and use it to line the nappy overnight. Obviously make sure it's cooled first!

I know it sounds weird and unpleasantly soggy but they don't seem to mind and it really does work wonders. I read it on here a few years ago and tried it on ds2 when his rash was open sores almost and it was fantastic.
