can you carry flu germs if you don't have any symptoms?

Dp and d have flu. I don't have any symptoms, but I've been, of course, hugely exposed to it. I was planning on visiting my elderly, frail mother on Thursday - should I, or might I be carrying the germs even if I'm quite well?

Bumping for you.

Thanks for the bump - anyone else?

If you have 'flu, how come you don't have any smptoms? Being daft here. H and I had the Norovius bug, followed by 'flu. Mum came over yesterday (from London, to Oxford) and I was so worried about her. Everything in our family seems to fall on our chest.

Sorry, symptons

I don't have flu - that's the point. I'm surrounded by people who do and I'm wondering if I could somehow carry germs even if I'm not ill.

tbh, I'm not sure I'd risk it if you can postpone. Has your mum not had her flu jab?

Hell would have to freeze over before either H or Mum would have the 'flu jab.

Why, 2sugars? My mum has.

They think it leaves them more, not less, vulnerable.

Don't quote me but...yes I think you can have a virus and have no symptoms, either because you've got off lightly or because of an incubation period which can be anything from a few days to a few weeks.
