I am still b/feeding and have had one period. Will they just resume their normal cycle or might this be a bit erratic at first?

And could they be affected by a period of lots of feeding again (ie over Christmas holidays). Ds2 is 11 months.

Thanks.

mine just resumed, after feeding my 2nd they started when she was 6 weeks old

beansprout · 12/01/2009 20:36

Oh wow, that's early. Do you expect them to go back to a regular cycle or might they be all over the place for a bit?

you could be preggers?

Pollyanna · 12/01/2009 20:39

mine have always been regular straight away.

beansprout · 12/01/2009 20:39

Well, ahem, ....

Am not due yet though but was just wondering if I should be expecting a normal cycle from the off.

I was coming back to post "make sure you start using contraceptives asap"

liahgen · 12/01/2009 20:41

Whenevr i stop bf, (have fed and 4 and still feeding 5th at 20 mths) periods return exactly one month later and are regular from the off.

Of course we are all different, and if there is any way you were ,,ahem.. excitable over Christmas, the preggers it could be.

beansprout · 12/01/2009 20:43

Am still feeding but went back to work 3 days a week and I think that's why they came back. Lots of feeding over Christmas though so am not sure if my body will hold off on the next cycle if it thinks I am busy with a baby again!

Do I sound stupid?

not at all. Our bodies are wonderful things. They know what to do.
