You're supposed to go to a beautician and get them sorted that way but yes it can cost money.

naswm · 01/01/2009 18:08

You need to go to a salon. It is about £15 to have them removed iirc.

DO NOT try and do it yourself.

If you are in Kent I can rec a lovely place.

naswm · 01/01/2009 18:10

ahhhh - I was worried by the pin idea....

I am not in kent, but I am in SE LOndon and family are in kent, so.... where is it?!

my mum had some procedure at a beauty salon, have forgotten the name for it, it took about 6 sessions I think and was quite expensive

she was recommended laser for a permanent solution (but this was out of her price range) as anything else tends to lead to recurrence later on

hers have come back a bit about a year later

NAB3lovelychildren · 01/01/2009 18:13

It is in Maidstone. Any good?

I have had these and tried the pin option which worked and they haven't come back. However, I wouldn't recommend it.

I would try a beautician first and see how it goes.

a beautician told me I was using a moisturiser that was too thick (I was using Vaseline body cream on my face at the time ). I changed my moisturiser and have stopped getting them. she also recommended I exfoliate regularly to quicken the natural removal of the old ones. I do confess to removing a few with a pin tho as I got too impatient but it was not a good look the next day...

naswm · 01/01/2009 18:22

ouch ouch ouch - I am a woos
