Sore heel, puffy ankle?

Any ideas?

Been to the Doc this morning and he give me a script for antiinflammatories. Were cheaper to buy over the counter.

Says my job (work in a playgroup) is not helping as I am on my feet a lot. I also do the school run on foot. I have to experiment with different shoes.

Sounds like planter faciitis. My chiropodist said anti inflamitories for 2 weeks, cold pack 20 minutes a day.
Never walk barefoot on hard floors. Wear shoes with soft soles if possible.
I have a natural heel of about 1.5inches so wearing flat shoes sometimes sets it off.

After suffering all summer it cleared up within 2 weeks once I started ibroprufen and cold pack.

Thanks christywhisty.

I am hobbling around wearing dd's Crocs (she has the real ones), as much as I loathe the things I may have to buy some for my self. I have found it is much much worse whilst wearing flats. My kitchen has tiles and we have wood in the hallway - so will avoid those.

Thank you again.

I have suffered with PF since April (when I majorly overdid the training for the moonwalk and then had to pull out due to my blasted heel)

WE too have woodfloors throughout the house and tiles in the kitchen. I always used to walk around the house in just socks. Now that is too painful and have given into crocs as my 'house' shoes.

In my case it still has not cleared up despite cold packs, anit inflammatories and physiotherapy and am going to go back to the GP in Jan to ask to be referred to an ortho somebody or other for a custom made insole.

Hope it disappears soon, it can be painful and lenghty!

Thank you Hippi - sorry you are still suffering too. I never have anything wrong with me and since I hit 40 its been downhill all the way!

I am scared to start the anti-inflammatories as apparently they can cause indigestion or the runs just what you need over Christmas!

I saw soles in the chemist today, they were over £30!
