The last three nights I have been woken at about 1/2 am with the most horrendous pain.It is on the right hand side , all my teeth from back, to the canine (is that the right name)tooth hurt,a dn its the same top and bottom. Only there, no where else, right along the jaw and teeth.

Now I do have tooth there that needs taken out, but this is all of them, 10 in total, and the pain is actually in the teeth, not the gum.

are you grinding your teeth or clenching your jaw funny?

I'd go to dentist and see what they think.

I had this a few years ago - sounds like you are clenching your jaw. I used to wake up with mine literally frozen shut - very scary when you're half asleep . The problem is that its a vicious circle - it's caused by worry/stress, and then of course you start worrying about your jaw. Make an appt at dentist - mine went as soon as I'd made the appt, before I'd even seen him!

Had it again lasyt night. Ended up taking 1 voltarol and 2 co codamol to try and ease the pain. DH did mention that it could be me clenching my jaw, like some of you said!
Thing is one of the teeth needs to be reomved. It should have been done 4 years ago. The dentist at the time, In St A's, was going to refer me to the dental hospital in Dundee to get it removed, under sedation.
I am terriffied of the dentist, I shake, cry and can make myself sick even for a check up.
Anyway she left and the appointment never came through, never saw a dentist agian for 3 years. Moved down here and got a new NHS dentist. I told him about the teeth and what should have happened and he said "Don't worry I will remove them for you". He won't refer me to a hopsital to get them done. So of course when i go for check ups I jsut say everything is ok.
If I tell him that all my teeth, top and bottom are sore, goodness knows what he'll say
