Hello My Little Red.

Get yourself along to the GP.

Alot of what you are saying sounds like it

I have all of your points of diagnoses.

Pain - oh, yes.

Fatigue - oh, yes.

Sleep disorder - Yep either sleep forever and wake up felling like I am hit by a truck.
Or have bad periods of Insomnia, when I only sleep for 4/5 hours an night (usually can be found on MN at stupid o'clock in the morning.)

Irritable Bowel Syndrome - Was first diagnosed with this.

Chronic headaches - these have only started in the last year

Temporo-mandibular Joint Dysfunction Syndrome - Again only in the last year

Multiple Chemical Sensitivity Syndrome - Yes, have real problems with this.

If it is Fibro, DONT PANIC, (I did when I first was diagnosed. )

It doesn't have to take over your life, and a positive attitude is really important, I refuse to let it grind me down. Although there are times I want to scream, and I did throw things across the room the other day, when the pain in my hands wouldn't let me unscrew something.

I have most pain in my hands wrists and feet.

but have learnt to buy 'sensible' shoes, and not do anything extreme when in a flare.

I do get extremely tired and I would say that is the most debilitating part of Fibro, for me my children are grown up, and have a fab DH, who does a lot of the household duties so that I can rest when I need to.

But I am going to give up CMing next year, not because of my health tho, because of EYFS, and because its time, and will then just work part time after.

I have had acupuncture which I found was brilliant at relieving the pain.

Apart from that walking when I can, to keep up exercise, and wheat bags are the best thing for pain.

Thank you Shoshe. I knew you'd reassure me, as you have done with so many things in that past.

I'm seeing the doctor on 25th and am just hoping not to be fobbed off with, "Oh, you will be tired, you are a mum" which seems to be all I've had for the past couple of years.

I may take a few notes along with me as a reminder as my brain has turned to mush and I can't remember things from one moment to the next. I'll let you know what he says.

Thanks again. xx

Yes DH is out next year we are off to Swindon!

Do not let the Dr fob you off, and Brain Fog, is another symptom, if I don't write things down I would never get things done

LilRedWG · 13/11/2008 21:29

I'll try not to, but I find it hard to go in and tell him that this is what I think it is, in case he thinks I'm a hypochondriac.

Write it all down before you go in.

And we must catch up soon. Will FB you.
