Since having DD, whenever I have sex, it feels like there's a bump in my fanjo. Quite high up and there's a sort of dragging sensation until we get going It feels like there's ridges in my vagina. Has anyone else had this? It feels quite strange and uncomfortable but not painful. DD is 15 months now so I'm quite a bit postpartum. Thanks.

See your Dr to put your mind at rest.

I had to do an embarassing visit today and it wasn't that bad... (spot so large on my flange that it looks like a testicle).

BumpyFanjo · 07/11/2008 20:14

I'm scared though more than embarrassed. I worry that it might be something really bad.

Is it at the front wall or back wall?

I have summat similar - a grade 1 prolapse, am doing major pelvic floor exerices as instructed by Physio to rectify.

By all means go to Doc, she can have a feel and advise you of what it may be.

FWIW I wish I had gone before, the sooner you can get going the better.

heigh ho.

Google grade 1 vaginal prolapse for more info, see if it fits your symptoms.

BumpyFanjo · 07/11/2008 20:23

Tis the back wall, will have a google now. Thanks

As usual I forgot to namechange so have shared in my usual name

Sigh

BumpyFanjo · 07/11/2008 20:28

Never mind I won't tell and I'm not a troll Symptoms sound a bit familiar so will have to make an appointment at the doctors. Eek, I hate pelvic exams!

Did you have stitches at all? I had loads of stitches and had lots of bunps and ridges which I could feel, especially when having sex, putting in tampons etc. Turned out it was lots of scar tissue from where my stitches had overhealed and it was easily sorted, they just sort of burnt the bumps off though burnt is the wrong word, it stung a bit but wasnt painful.

BumpyFanjo · 07/11/2008 23:22

Nope no stitches, just a small tear. It's quite high up, I think near my cervix. Think prolapse is probably the likeliest bet. What happened to you sounds awful though, I'm glad they could sort it out easily

Does sound like a prolapse. Please when you go to your GP, do not be fobbed off with a leaflet of pelvic floor exercises. Ask to be referred to an obstetric physio. You are only young and need to get this sorted out.

BumpyFanjo · 08/11/2008 10:01

OK I'll push for that, thankyou. I'm quite worried now, what are the implications of having a prolapse? I was planning on ttc in 7 months or so.

If you have effective physio you should be ok. Might come back after child no 2, but make sure you do your physio following childbirth.

I remember looking at my vestibule with a mirror not long after giving birth and nearly fainting. It looked like a steak and kidney pudding with a slice out of it.

Things have never been the same, but now, due to a prolapse situation, I sport a spanking new designer vagina of which both dh and I have become rather fond.
