Am sure I have it again, nausea, dizzyness, passed out today, sore ears, head feels like it has cotton wool, eyes hurt to look at screens (am just looking at this for a few seconds and looking at keyboard mainly). Got Drs appointment tomorrow for 5 - how I will last until then I dont know! Any tips until then?

oh how horrible for you.
I had it a few years ago and was told when tryibg to go to sleep keep a lamp on in the room and just kepp looking at it, eventually the light will stop zooming across the room and just judder from side to side then hopefully you may get some sleep.

I get this too - it is awful. When your head is spinning, look at something still in your horizon and focus on it. Should help. Also rest as much as you can.

Thanks. Found it hard to get to sleep lastnight, found a dvd on helped (maybe similar to the light thing?)

Have been naughty and dug out antidizzyness tabs (betahistine hydrochloride) from last year but within date and am taking them as drs isnt until 5.

Have taken your advice on resting - am off work, have pulled tv wire in to bedroom, managed to get laptop in bedroom and am going to lye here lots. i have a restless energy i want to get up an dclean but my dizzyness is stopping me, so if i have tv ad lappy im more likely to make myself at least lye here.

Strangely the screen isnt hurting me, which is good.

My friend has just had it, don't drive anywhere if you have dizzy spells, she rested up for a week, no screens and tablets from Dr.

I had it a couple of years ago, one tip I found useful was to look at your thumb when you feel wobbly. Sounds stupid, but helps to focus you.

Thanks. Dr said its definetly labyrinthitis. Got betahistamine dihydrochloride. Have some chocolate biscuits...can someone confirm they will be helpful and that I MUST eat them

You MUST eat the chocolate biscuits! And theres no need to report them on the dieting thread! Hope the meds kick in soon.
