Can one have a predisposition to Threadworms?

We are not a skanky family. We wash. I try to keep my sons fingers away from his bum and his mouth. And yet we have had threadworms COUNTLESS times. Well, actually about 6 times in 2 years. I am Surreys foremost expert on the subject.

But can having it once mean you are more likely to get it again, much later?

Does anyone else keep getting it, but too far apart for it to be reinfection?

My DS's have never had them.
DD's totally different! They have had them a few times now.
I have put it down to them both being thunb suckers. Can't see any other reason for them to be so prone to getting them.

Ahhh, my son is a nail biter. But who is keeps giving our children it in the first place?

I believe it doesn't always cause a lot of itcing so i suppose it go get missed.

Well we've had terrible itching here tonight. poor boy was beside himself writhing around in bed. Bloody skanky families and their eggs!

Mine really suffer with the itching too.
I was told by our school that as soon as they are treated they can come back to school. Not sure how fast the medicine works but i would assume they may still be live eggs in the morning if treated the night before.
Very easily passed on unfortunatly.
