Anyone successfully got rid of their Millia?

Can you share your tips with me?

I actually only have one stubborn Milia spot under my eye, but my sister has loads and I'm worried I'm going to go the same way.

Have read some quite conflicting advice on the internet from needles, to scrubs etc .

What can you tell me?

Oddly enough I had one that 'fell off' last week. I've had it ages and DH kept tell me to squeeze despite my telling him it wasn't a spot. Anyway, I agrevated it a couple of weeks ago trying to pop it and it became quite itchy. I must have broken the skin because I gave it a rub last week and it came off. Left a hole on my face but it's gone. Was a very hard white lump of 'stuff' in it.

That's interesting - everything I have read said no point squeezing cos it doesn't work and you'll probably end up with a scar..do you think your will scar?

Some people say hypodermic needle, and that appeals because I could just get it out and done with, rather than wasting money on lots of AHA style creams that are costly and might take forever.

Am scared of needle near eye of it all though.

I had one at the corner of my eyelid that just dropped off (after much picking and aggravating, mind ). No scar or anything.

I did a couple of small ones at home with a sterilised needle - no scar, tho it was probably a tough unwise. You could go to a beauty salon, a facialist type person will have been trained how to do it properly, maybe?

joshhollowayspieceofass · 09/10/2008 16:00

What wasn't so great about the needle idea mazzy? Just your instinct, or what there any problem? I just can't bear to pay out when I only have one and could do it in a minute at home with a needle, if that's an option.

Would rather spend my cash and time on a massaaaaaggggggggggggggee!

I don't know if it'll scar, there was lots of tugging and squeezing which can't be good for the thin skin around your eye. Mine was right on the crease between my cheek bone and eye socket and I could see it which is why it irritated me so much.

What's the likely hood of them going without intervention? I'm sure I've had them before but can't really remember what has happened to them. I can't see creams making a difference tbh. What would they do?

I was preparing to get a sterile scalpol (sp) and lance it off had it not fallen off

joshhollowayspieceofass · 09/10/2008 16:05

how Dioriffic?

I would pay if I had more than this one single one I think, but I just can't bring myself to for this lone ranger.

my beautician did mine during a facial when I was half asleep. noticed the tiny blood spot in the mirror afterwards. she told me that it has been bugging her for years!
