uneven boobs following breast reduction

As some of you know i had my breast reduction a few days ago. I'm really worried about a few things:

  1. one is quite a bit bigger than the other
  2. i have a blood clot under my arm where lipo was done
  3. nipples were reduced and are now nowhere near round.

Has anyone else who's has a reduction experienced this and did the problems get resolved?

Thanks, yes have had a look. Going back to hospital today to get the haematoma looked at again. I'm sure the surgeon over compensated for my right boob being bigger. he took 230g extra off the right one. The left is so much fuller and it's the right side which has the bruising so really worried that the difference could get even more

mymittens, only just read this thread but wanted to try and reassure you.

I had a breast reduction 2 years ago. I had to have a masectomy on the left breast with immediate reconstruction from my tummy. As I was a 34F I was recommended to have a reduction on the right side at the same time.

I know this isn't exactly the same as you, however, immediately after the op I had a lot of 'bumpiness' and swelling, particularly on the reduced breast. At my post op check up it was evident that one breast was significantly larger (the reconstructed one) than the other.

Over the last 18 months I've had what I would call 'touch ups' - I should say the reason for it being so long is due to having chemo in the middle!

I had a small operation to remove a little excess skin underneath both breasts to make a smoother 'crease' and a little lipo on the reconstructed breast and fat injection on the reduced breast.

My 'boobs' now look great and although it took more than one procedure to get there, it was worth it. I am now a 34D - M & S bra advisors have been a god send helping me choose the right style bra for my slightly differing sizes.

You could try doing some 'arm brushes' on the arm that has the swollen breast. I found it reduced the swelling.

I'm sure once everything has settled you will feel happier - my surgeon told me it was 9 months before they would completely settle and at that point what you saw in the mirror was what you got! It was only then he would look at tidying anything.

Sorry for the long post but HTH.

still no sign of the left one getting smaller. If anything the difference between the 2 is now biggher. I'm feeling so miserable and senstive. Dh is getting fed up with me as i take offence at the slightest thing and i've cried every day since the op.
