Dh wore tight jock strap after op, had "tracking" bruises which meant every day for 4 days the bruising got worse and "tracked" down his legs

He was sore, so lots of pain killers, plenty of rest, tv remote, waited on him hand and foot for 2 days as they also had to "dig deep" to find one of his tubes, saw it with me own eyes, he watched my 2 c sections so thought it was fair

Balls with no hair on hysterical, laughed my socks off but he shaved me before my elective c section so got my own back by shaving him

Itchy as hell when hair grows back apparently like I have never known what that felt like

If he's having it as a day patient then make sure he goes straight to bed when you get him back home.
I shall never forgive Idiot Chops for standing at the kitchen door having a fag as soon as he got home and then passing out on the floor. Screaming kids and ambulances you do not need.
And make sure you keep up with the screening afterwards. Not only Idiot Chops can have swimmers 10 weeks after the op. Took 13 weeks before he was officially shooting blanks.

He'll be fine, painkillers will mean he will feel nothing post op until the next morning then he will have a dull ache. Your balls do swell with the bruising, mine were purple for a while. The stitches should drop out of their own accord. The ache will last for a couple of weeks though.
I was bathing the kids and putting them to bed as soon as I got in, no sympathy for me from Mrs BGD who says she endured two cascereans (sp) for us to have kids...

Oops meant to say I wore two pairs of fairly tight underpants for a week after to give support. (not the same pair all the time!!)

I shouldn't get too smug about being let off the old rumpy pumpy for long. When my DH had his vasectomy we were issued with instructions post operatively that said he had to hand in his first semen sample for all-clear testing both 20 weeks and 24 ejaculations exactly after the operation.

Let's just say that he had to see to himself a lot of the time to ensure he met that particular target.

Whilst I was prepared to cook his favourite meals, make him endless cups of tea and let him off of the washing up for a day or two I wasn't prepared to go as far as offering that level of support lol!

i. Don't let children leap into his lap.

ii. Don't tell him if his child goes into school (as my neice did) and announce at Show and Tell th`t her daddy had been castrated.

it has been done. By laser apparently
Dp revelled in needing 4 x the usual amount of local anaesthetic. Doc joked about horse sized dose of drugs, then dp promptly equated it with superior "man"ness... Men huh
So far so good painwise.
