he was moving around and mobile the next day, but not properly for about a week. He had to wear a corset type thing for a few months to prevent him bending twisting in the wrong way, and generally to support him. He did have to be careful for 6 months. Apparently IDET can keep working for a year, in the sense that it may be a year until the full effects are felt, after that it maintains you for a good few years. its been a few years since dh's so things have prob moved on. can say though, that its v important to have correct physio post IDET.... which in my expereince is pointless on nhs. dh's consultant has set up a specialist physion centre, which is available through nhs, tower hill area.
