Threadworm meds whilst breast feeding. Advice please.

I, me at age 44 discovered last night that I have threadworm. I'm horrified tbh as my personal hygeine is very good. Ds( 9)says he isn't/hasn't been itchy and I've not seen Dd(19mos)in any distress - although she was awake at 5AM this morning but I'm not sure that's not a coincidence really. I'm waiting for her first dirty nappy today to check it, but didn't see any signs of anything yesterday(I do check most days for some reason). I'm just stunned that I have them as I've not had them for around 34 years.
Anyway, my question is this. What can I take for this as I'm still breast feeding Dd and is there anything natural that can be eaten/taken to get rid of them?
TIA.

Here is the Breastfeeding Network's factsheet on it.

They say that Mebendazole should be fine, although not officially recommended.

Thanks PAL, I'll have a read.

I'm in a quandary. I've had a read of the link and spoken to the HV who spoke to my GP and both have said I should stop bfing and take the meds. I doubt Dd will be very understanding if I do though. Has anyone on here taken Mebendazole and continued bfing? I only feed her before bed at night now. Giving up will be tougher in the next week I suspect because we are going to stay with friends and she'll be in a strange cot/place etc. I need to take the meds though as I'll be sleeping in with my friend and she also has two Dc's too, so I obviously want to do as much damage control as I can before we go tomorrow.
Dd has no 'signs' of infestation, but I've changed two nappies today and she really didn't want me to.

To be honest, I'd trust the BfN over a GP. Their factsheets are written by a specialist pharmacist who looks up all the research on each medication before making a recommendation. Your GP will have just looked it up in the book that says "not recommended for breastfeeding".

Thanks PAL, I was edging towards taking it and continuing bfing tbh. I appreciate your help.

Whole family should be treated too though (except baby)

Yes, Ds will be treated too.

I've been treated with mebendazole whilst breastfeeding. GP said that it's poorly abosrbed through the gut so unlikely to be excreted in breast milk in significant amounts.

Thank you Daisy! I feel even easier about it now.
