Rib/back ache?

hi, i am 21 weeks pregnant with twins.
i have an on/off pain towards the back of my ribs on the right hand side only.(if this makes sense?)
my sister says that it could be a floating rib?, although she had the pain on both sides when she was pregnant!!
does anyone else have this kind of pain?

i had this with dd. i think it was the pressure of her feet on my rib (or back or somewhere). it was fricking agony, you have my sympathy. i had to quit driving because of it.

yoga helped alot. you could ask to see a physio ?

take care.

I have this (I'm 27 wks) and have been refered to pyhsio next week finally! excrutiating pain on rhs, front of ribs and sometimes the back, I cant sleep well at the mo. I find lots of cushions on the sofa or lying on back the only relief. Doc says take paracetamol but not happy to do that for the next 3 mths !!
I've heard the pain goes after baby, not much help when youre in agony tho heh. good luck.

I started to get this at about week 20 and now at week 27 i am so used to it I just grin and bear most of the time. I went to the doctor who said 'hey, you're pregnant, deal with it' and I've also been to an Oesteopath, which has done very little but cost quite a lot.
Mine tends to be right side at the back, same place everytime, and mostly occurs when I am sitting at my desk at work (like right now), sitting down to have dinner and in the car. And most annoyingly its ruined going to the cinema for me now, and i love (work in) film. So pretty much all the time. Mostly when i am at home and relaxing I lie down, but i know this is not great for getting baby into the right position later in pregnancy, and my Doula advises me that I need to try other postures unless I want to run the risk of a posterior baby at labour.
I'm trying acupuncture next week (free on the NHS at my hospital) for 5 weeks and will post how that goes.
Stretching my right arm over my head gives some relief, so try that, but it doesn't last long.
