Just that really. If you know that you will get so nervous that you might faint or be sick, can they give you anything to take beforehand ?

I tihnk she gets married at 2.30.

It isn't just the walk down the aisle though, it is the whole thing.

I will have a google and see what I can find.

I get diazepan for major stressy events - I have 4 ready for a wedding in August and had some last year for dental work and another wedding - they do space me out, but it's better than a panic attack .

Can you drink with them BR ?? Everyone will want to know why I am not drinking otherwise.

Just googled social anxiety and yep that is me, every single bit of it. Didn't even know that was what it was.

I hate it because I want to enjoy the wedding and have a great time, but it will be spoilt because I will feel so shite.

I have the same problem nutty.

It's not recommended to drink on them but I did have a small glass of champagne. It just makes you more tired - you'll sleep well after the evening do! You could always just have half a tablet in the morning to get you through the ceremony then have no alcohol until the night.

Thanks BR, will try and get to docs and ask about it.

I have mentioned my nerves to her before, but she never seems to 'get' what I mean.

Don't hint, just tell her you need something to calm your nerves and that you have already tried herbal remedies. Good luck!

Also - if she gives you a couple, try one or half of one before the day so that you can see how affected you are by it and know what to expect.

You shouldn't drink with valium or temazepam.
