Hope someone is awake!!!

DD has had funny tummy for the last four days, it has gradually got runnier to now mustard coloured almost like water bless her.

She went four times during the day.

We were just woken half an hour ago, she went up her back and in her bed. Her little vagina and bottom is raw red!

She is drinking plenty of water and is her normal self so I think it must be teething as she has not got all her teeth yet and normally gets soft poo with other teeth. Hope its not a bug!

I am worried abour her dehydrating so until I get to the shops tomorrow to buy those doirhylite powder sachets can you tell me how I can make my own?

Thank you

In an emergency, you can make a solution at home using two flat teaspoons of sugar and half a flat teaspoon of salt per half litre (or pint) of water. If you are breastfeeding your child you should carry on doing so, and you can use water or Dioralyte in between feeds.

Just got this from the NHS website.

My dc had horrible nappies and bottoms while teething - maybe she has a molar coming through (big back teeth)? When you can keep her nappy off to get some air on - maybe when the poos get a bit more solid!

Hello

Thanks for that, I found some other recipe similar to what you described but before I gave it her I called NHS direct and they advised me never to give that solution to kids??? They said its not the same sugar as the one in Dioralyte.

I'm sure its teething too - thanks!
