ive been thinking about this for 2 years!and im sure lots of you have seen my posts saying what if,what do you think etc.but herees another
i had a letter today saying i need my coil checked.im tempted to have it removed as i would like another dc.but after 3rd cs i had bladder damage due to scar tissue and gp which all healed fine.a few months later gp said not to have any more and that 3 was the safe number.i asked to see consultant-he said the 3 and no more rule was old school and that as long as i was aware of risks he thought its ok.youngest dc is 2.5.my reasons for thinking nows the time if i do or dont is because-dh is 42 soon and would prefer not to be any older(i told him hes not old!),my mums moving to france within 2 years and it would be easier if she was here(not me saying my mum must help btw,me saying my mum wants too).i know none of you can say-go for it or dont go for it.im just confused!

sorry for rubbish typing btw,im a climbing frame this morning for ds2!

I discussed this with my consultant before section number 2. She basically said there was no rule, they could give advice based on the state of the uterus after each section but that was all it was - advice. Hopefully I'll be having section number 3 in December & (should all go well) we'd love a 4th.

The main risk is abnormal placentation - placenta previa & accreta. I know a woman who's had six sections & the last two had placental issues & the final one was very complicated with accreta.

TBH I don't really take much notice of GP's opinions when it comes to specialised issues such as this - few of them are particularly up to date.
