Hi All,

I want to get back into running (used to do 1/2 marathons) but after having the boys my pelvis isn't quite right and its taken me this long (3.5yrs) to be in a position to even contemplate it!

i want to know if any of you can recommend a really good running shoe?

i have been looking at chung shi and mbt but not sure if there are good for running.

TIA.

xx

the running ones will tell you to go to a special shop, where you will be forced given the opportunity to display your running style and be properly fitted.

i do think this would be a good idea for you since it would be very bad if you bugger up your pelvis with the wrong sort of shoe.

it does make a massive difference, i have recently got some new ones and it is far easier.

that looks idea and you should get plenty of attention on a saturday.

must say i did cheat, found some half price on amazon and checked runners sites to make sure they'd suit. but really not worth you taking a risk.

I like Asics but agree with ops that you need to be assessed and guided by shop experts. Runners Need is good.
Good luck and glad to hear the ole pelvic floor can recover even if it does take that long. I'm trying to build back up to a 5k!

PS I got mine at Sweatshop where they film your feet on a treadmill then slow it down and analyse your gait

thanks anybodyhome, they also film you there aswell. its not my pelvic floor that was the problem - it is my entire pelvis that is still out of line and they cant do anything about it, but ive been slowly building up with core stability exercise and now going to see if i can run again!
