Does anyone use medical alert jewellery?

Does anyone have a medical alert bracelet?

I wondered if anyone wore medical alert jewellery and where you got them. Also if you’ve got a lot of complex health issues how did you fit them all on?

I was warned by an A&E consultant friend against a QR code type especially if travelling abroad and not to get a subscription type either.

so I’m just looking for others experiences and advice. Thanks!

I have a fairly rare condition called Myasthenia Gravis.

I was treated with steroids for a few months but they made me horribly unwell

I only know a little about MG & it sounds pretty rough - is yours fairly steady & predictable or more unstable?

That Is what my dd has, a silicone bracelet that she keeps on all of the time.

It's mainly quite manageable, I just have to be really careful to rest lots. I am lucky to have a supportive family and I can work from home.
But any illness can cause a big flare,.and the recent heatwave triggered a flare so bad I ended up in hospital for a week with breathing difficulties.

But I am lucky compared to many with the condition, and feel grateful every day that I picked a sedentary career that can be done remotely
