Is it ever safe to use sunbeds?

That's it, really. Never have used them. Now sorely tempted to, just a little, for several reasons. Extremely cautious because of obvious cancer risk and acceleration of skin aging. Wondered if moderate use can be undertaken relatively safely - or if it's just not worth going there, at all. What do you think?

I really do not think they are worth it,

Not safe, don't do it.

Whenever I see a sunbed shop it amazes me that they are still in business. Don't do it.

I think I know that.

Where I'm at is that I have Mediterranean and English colouring which seem to have mixed up badly somewhere along the line! People think I am Persian, but with bad anaemia most of the time. My skin is so pale and pasty and simply doesn't look right, iyswim. With a spray tan, I am told I can look amazing, which is a nice boost.

I wondered if a bit of light sunbed use - to take the edge off the palour (don't wish to be "cheap as chips" man), to hopefully help with mild acne, and to help with mood (I am miserable on overcast days) - might be OK. Tanning creams are a no no as I don't use anything, other than water, on my face (because of tendency to acne).

Is there anything else I could do, safely, to achieve a light tan?

Thanks.
