oophorectomy - tips

I’m having an oophorectomy in a couple of weeks to remove both ovaries. I have a cyst with a small, solid mass on one ovary that they need to biopsy. Has anyone had this procedure? It’ll be done by robotic keyhole.

I've had this procedure as part of my treatment for breast cancer. It was fairly straightforward although I had shoulder pain for about 24 hours. This is because they pump you full of air for the surgery and it presses against nerves near your shoulder. Painkillers helped.

I have had this as emergency surgery to have one removed. It had unfortunately twisted and the tube was like a fat sausage and the ovary had died. Due to what happened I couldn’t have key hole surgery and it took me about 3 months to get back to fitness.
I had to have these biopsied and it was ok, and there was no cause of the original issue, it was just put down as one of those things.

Thank you. If anyone had keyhole, how long did it take you to recover, and how long before you could drive?
