Constantly boiling hot

It’s been even more unbearable with the recent temperature but since having my second son (he’s almost 2) I feel constantly sweaty and warm. I can’t wear a coat in the winter. Anyone else had this? Assuming it’s hormonal? Almost 42. Slightly overweight. Taking blood pressure tablets and levothyroxine.

Probably the start of peri menopause- average age for menopause is 52 but oestrogen starts declining around ten years before that.

Yes me. I am always hot. Also on those meds and I’m perimenopausal too. I’ll be in a t shirt in winter and my family will have jumpers and blankets over them!

I would suggest getting your thyroid checked out. One of the many symptoms of hyperthyroidism is feeling constantly hot.

She has hypothyroidism like me and even though its suppose to make you cold it doesn't for me

yayayay · 01/07/2026 22:49

@prettydesertflowerI'm on levothyroxine for hypothyroidism. I had a routine blood test in April and within normal range. If anything it was more towards the end of under-active but still an ok level.

I’m desperately searching for a portable unit. They’re as hard to find as loo roll during Covid

@PurpleLovecatsha yes people often think I’m a bit weird when they’re shivering and covered up.

I don’t even own a proper coat. I have one mac that I wear if it snows or rains to keep the wet out. I just don’t need a winter coat!
