Is this a stye or a chalazion? Back to pharmacist?

Noticed this yesterday. Saw pharmacist - advised 3x/daily warm compresses + preservative-free dry eye drops.
Doesn't hurt, but doesn't seem to be getting better.

The bigger picture is yesterday, the other one is tonight.
Is it a stye? A chalazion?
Should I go back to the pharmacist?
TIA

Go to an optometrist. They are better placed to examine and advise.

I thought the difference was pain? I have a stye and it’s so sore. Pharmacist diagnosed. If it’s a stye lots of bathing with cool boiled water, using soaked cotton pads in one direction only and different pads for each swipe

I've had both, but the chalazions have been on the surface of my upper eyelids, and the styes have been on the inside like yours.

They're caused by different things. Styes come from dirt or bacteria in your eye. Chalazions are clogged oil glands on your eyelid.

The way the opthalmologist told me to treat them is not the same. For chalazions, keep applying very warm wet washcloths to your eyelid every day for 45 minutes or so. Doing this in the tub works well. Let your eyelid get warm and the oil in the gland will start softening. Massage the lump very gently to release and redistribute the oil. If it doesn't get smaller in a couple of weeks it may have to be removed.

Just by looking, I think yours is a stye, though.

To me it looks more like a chalazion, especially if it doesn’t hurt. I’ve been sporting one for a few months now and only started shrinking with warm compreesses a month or so ago.

It’ll take longer than a day to get better. Looks like the start of a chalazion. Just continue the warm compress for a week or so I wouldn’t be rushing back to the chemist after 1 day. Does your area have a minor eye clinic service? Usually based in an opticians?
