Palpitations keeping me awake

I’ve been investigated and no untoward cause found. Likely stress and hormones as post-menopausal at 49. I’m on HRT which is due to be tweaked if random bleeding doesn’t settle (all investigated and nothing to worry about).
They are pissing me off! I take propranolol to help and the dose was lowered due to my heart rate dropping below 40. I’ve felt ok and not any different with 40mg compared to the new 20mg.
I am under a lot of stress but that’s nothing new at all. I’ve been started on ADHD medication which can make them worse but in the 2.5 months I’ve been on it I’ve not noticed much difference apart from when it wears off sometime between lunch and dinner each day. At that time I get 30 mins or so of being aware of my heartbeat.
BP and pulse are within normal range so it’s just a sensation rather than tachycardia. I have to take my pulse and BP daily for monitoring the effects at if the ADHD medication.
Eating lunch or dinner makes them worse which makes me anxious to eat more than snacks.
Yesterday my diet consisted of two slices toast with peanut butter and raspberry jam, 2 cups of decaf tea, two ready made milkshakes, a babybel, a packet of crisps and then dinner of half of one of those part-baked baguettes and some hummus at around 10pm so far too late. I also drank a few glasses of water. I walked 14 miles yesterday so not enough food or fluid.
It was 1am by the time I could switch off from the sensation and I’m really tired today. I wake up at least twice a night normally and get up at 6.30am so around 5 and a half hours sleep at most.

I know I need to address my diet, and drink more fluids today and everyday. The ADHD medication takes away my appetite and I find it difficult to even eat breakfast lately but make sure I do. I usually drink milkshake if I don’t eat.

Has anyone any tricks for getting the nighttime palpitations to at least lessen? Or ways to chill out about them? I’ll go back to the GP but tried and tested advice would be great. I’m not good at relaxing and when I’m sat and quiet I’m more aware of them so tend to keep moving 😩

Up your electrolytes?

@Pinklightning
I found Kalms One A Night help me to relax enough to go to sleep. I suffered with my brain not switching off, 'fizzy' legs and palpitations.
I didn't hold out much hope of anything working, but I thought I'd try them. They're herbal and you don't feel groggy in the morning. They're a gentle relaxant, which I think would help for you.
I don't take them every night, although you can, but I take them as needed and they work. Hope that's of some help x

I have palpitations (all diagnosed and treated) which wake me up. Mostly I get straight back to sleep unless I have something else on my mind or am unwell. I get up for the bathroom at least twice a night and have done for many years.
My take is that if you could sort the other things out the palpitations would be less of a problem.
Your diet is awful which I think you know. I eat a lot of things I don't particularly love because they are good for me. Have a think about planning to eat at reasonable times whether you feel like it or not and include some fruit, veg and more protein.

Reducing carbs massively helped with my palpitations.

I ate much earlier yesterday and was ok last night.

Sugar does this to me now I'm nearing menopause. I wake with palpitations and panic attacks at 3am.

I have to cut out all sugars, alcohol and simple carbs (white bread) and then I'm fine. It's fucking boring. But you've got a LOT of sugar in your diet with bread, raspberry jam, two milkshakes - that would send me into nervous breakdown territory. You need to focus on that stuff.
