Coping with chronic pain

I have a series of health issues as a result of a genetic disorder. In the last few months, my condition has progressed quite rapidly and I'm in pretty significant pain, especially in the mornings and evenings. I also tire very quickly but I think this is because of all the medicines i'm on too. Has anyone got any good tips for coping with the ongoing pain or found any services/ charities that have been helpful? I don't have friends and family nearby and feel quite isolated.

I have experienced chronic pain and it just saps the joy from life.
I am much better now on new drugs.
My main thing was to plan to do stuff at the best time and only one "thing" a day to minimise fatigue.
Assume you've explored all pain relief and pain management clinics?

I have Fibromyalgia & arthritis, my tips are don't wait for the pain to come on or get worse, take your meds on a schedule, also if your meds don't contain paracetamol then take it alongside what you have been prescribed if it is safe to do so, I'm on dihydrocodeine & it is safe for me to take the paracetamol alongside it. Look at CBD, I use a combination of oils, patches, capsules, gummies & vape juice, I can really tell if I haven't taken any & it helps my sleep.

Thanks for sharing your experience and tips, much appreciated. I am having a very good weekend pain-wise for no obvious reason but recently has been v bad pain wise. I am looking at energy preserving/ optimising and trying to give each day one simple goal. It might be 'play in the garden with the kids' or 'get the hoovering done' and just limiting myself to that.

I don't know if its still available on the nhs but I use to be under a pain clinic they where helpful.
I don't know what body part but compression, lifting the body part above your heart, heat, cold, baths, Learn your triggers, don't wait for the pain to be severe before taking pain relief. Understand your limitations if you do something different or strenuous don't be hard on yourself for taking a rest day afterwards
