Now that the weather is warming up it would be handy to have some tips from others for how to look after skin in this area.
I've found that the skin under my boobs has become more fragile as I've got older and it can split quite easily, and I've lost some weight which hasn't helped with general sagginess.
Last summer I got through reasonably well by doing the following.
Using surgical scrub occasionally (about every 5 days or so). Not if the skin was broken as that would hurt like a bitch. It has to stay on for at least 5 minutes so I do it when I'm washing my hair or shaving my legs as otherwise I would just be standing in the shower waiting. It kills off bacteria, fungal infection and yeast. If it spills on the floor of the shower don't move your feet until it's all been rinsed away, it's slippy as hell, I learned that the hard way.
Using a scrubby of some sort to remove dead skin. I like these https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007IAE5WY?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1 because they are also useful for washing my back. They can be a bit too rough if the skin is sore, so I also sometimes use a nylon scrubby thing from the supermarket for a less abrasive clean.
Bamboo socks (bear with me, not as nuts as it sounds). I use the invisible trainer type that don't have much of a cuff. They are the right size for tucking into folds so that skin doesn't touch skin and bamboo is more absorbent and softer than cotton. When I'm using under a bra, I put my bra on first then slide a sock under the band on each side and make sure part of the sock stays under the band so that the bra doesn't put too much pressure on my skin. Then I do a boob hoik and make sure the sock is lying fairly flat under the crease. If I have any rawness or broken skin I use a thin layer of antiseptic cream (usually Bepantiseptic as it has a numbing effect) under the sock.
I'm diabetic and wear a cgm to make sure my glucose is ok as I'm pretty sure too much sugar would make things worse.
Any other useful tips gladly accepted.
