What do you think could be causing vision issues ?

So for around 5-6 months now I’ve had blury vision ,especially in left eye.
I blink and the blury goes but comes back etc
I have days when they just run constantly from the side of my eye ,even when I’m in indoors.
I am meant to wear glasses for long distance and when watching tv I will sometimes have to squint.
I lost my glasses about a year ago.
About a month ago I went to eye infirmary and they said everything looked fine and eye pressure was fine etc.
I also am on my computer for work 8 hours per day and probably my phone most of the night.
Any ideas what could be causing it ?

Firstly get some new glasses - if you're squinting at the TV, you are probably straining them all the time. You might need them for the computer too.
I really hope you don't drive!!!

You could have a dry eye problem, it hay fever/allergy, or something else.

Get an appointment at the opticians.

How old are you? Peri/menopause can impact on many things.

I had this problem when I had dry eye. I got it treated by an excellent optometrist and all is well now.

Yeah I have a eye test booked for 6 days
I am in my late 30s nearly 40!

Can you remember what your prescription was?

Do you drive?

SnowFrogJelly · 28/04/2026 09:59

Have you been checked for AMD?

Glad you're going for eye test, think from my own experience its v easy to put chges in vision , blurriness etc down to using computer, phone, being busy etc.

Have you been checked for AMD?

That wouldn't cause watery eye and she's a bit young for that. It's never a good idea to wildly throw out diagnoses when you clearly have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

You could really worry someone.

OP - It's probably a bit of dryness and the need for glasses. The Optometrist will sort it out.
