Duct tape to remove verruca

I've read about putting duct tape on a verruca. Has anyone done this and had success? If so, how do you do it? Do you keep one piece on or replace it every night and do you let your foot breathe overnight or have tape on constantly? I've got two small ones that I want rid of.

I do a hobby that requires bare feet and I'm convinced it's from there.

Just found my post to update as it's about a month in and I've been using duct tape daily. The first one I got kept coming off so had to get some proper stuff from Amazon. Tried nail polish too but it was practically difficult as I'd do it then it would stick to my socks if not enough time to dry 😂

I had two verrucas about a cm apart and they both appear to have gone. The second one came off in the shower this morning as the duct tape came off in the water and the round centre of the verruca was stuck to it. There's a tiny hole where it was. I didn't realise the other one had already gone but it looks like it's already gone and healed over.

yay! and thanks for updating

Great success OP I knew the duct tape was a winner!

My understanding is than none of these things really work, as it's an immune response from your body that makes them go, so it's just coincidence that your immune system has kicked in at the same time. It's certainly not "starving them of oxygen", they can't breathe!
A lot of treatments are just trying to stimulate the immune system to work.
Anyway, I'm glad they've gone!

Thanks for all the advice! I just wanted to update because I know people don't know whether it really works (like me!)

Thanks!

I've had them before and they've always lasted years if not treated so I do think it's the duct tape on this occasion but l can understand why you'd question it as I did too!
