Woke up to these 2 yellow spots on my 8 month olds only teeth.
Any idea what they are? I’m already contacting dentist but just want to hear from people’s experiences.
He doesn’t eat sugary foods. We brush twice daily and he’s had no injury to the area.

Did you have antibiotics during pregnancy? No shame at all mind you!! Some antibiotics the mum takes can cause enamel hypoplasia in the baby. It shouldn’t affect the adult teeth though

Thank you for replying. No I didn’t have any antibiotics . However, my little one had long-term jaundice when he was born. I saw on Google that this could have an impact on teeth also due to the bilirubin.
I’m just now worried that the rest of his teeth will also be yellow and will affect his self-image or people will blame me for it!
i guess it’s just one of those things!

I promise you no one will notice by the time he’s got all his teeth and his friends are busy bashing theirs out on handlebars or having a swing to the face (both extremely common)! The good thing is that his adult teeth should be unaffected, by which time this will all be a hazy memory :)
