I know an ultrasound is the way they usually get diagnosed but there is no way I can drink that much water and hold it as I have bladder condition.

I am not medical in any way, but I had to have emergency surgery last year for an ovarian torsion caused by a large cyst, and that was identified during a CT scan, so I'd assume yes.

Firboids and ovarian cysts are usually best see on vaginal ultrasound for which you need an empty bladder. Most of the time they have a Quick Look across your tummy first which is why you go with a full bladder the vaginal bit is usually where the best images are obtained so if you are able to tolerate an internal scan a full bladder shouldn't be an issue.

Was about to come on to say what dammit has just said! I had an ultrasound last month exactly like this

in case it s not clear - they do a quick scan across the tummy then send you off for a wee then you come back for a trans vaginal scan

Maybe an internal scan would be better. Is it quite painful.
