Maryland bridge for missing teeth?

As a child I broke my two front lower teeth in an accident. Caps were fitted. One failed about 15 years ago, and not being particularly mouthproud (is that a word?), I left it. The other day the 2nd cap failed on approximately its 40th birthday, which I think is pretty good going. The gap is now big enough that I mind it very much, so I'm considering my options.

Don't favour implants. Don't really like the idea of grinding down two perfectly healthy teeth for a bridge. Any opinions on a so-called Maryland Bridge, which I've just learned about?

I've had two maryland bridges for well over 25 years. Both have had one wing detach over the last few years, but dentist said they're often only put in with a wing on one side now, so cut off the detached one. Still going strong!
