Hi,

This is a bit random but my husband revealed he’d been researching Peptides for the past year last night and he’s going to start injecting them and some other ingredient called Klow?

He’s not been feeling himself lately, stress with work, family life, weight to name a few.

can anyone shed any light on peptides and Klow?

I don’t understand if anyone could explain to me please I’d be grateful.

Thank you.

Latest internet nonsense

There are licensed, medical-grade peptides such as insulin. And then there are the unregulated, questionably-sourced, unlicensed products such as KLOW. The licensed stuff has been tested for safety and efficacy as well as having well-researched criteria for what it does, how it does it, who should be taking it, who really shouldn't, what doses are safe and what the potential side-effects can be. The unlicensed stuff has none of that. You can't even be confident that what you're buying is actually what you think you're buying - it could be peptides, it could be sugar-pills, it could be contaminated with god-knows what, it could be ANYTHING. You've got no way of knowing and as it's unlicensed there's no independent body that's checking it for safety.

What KLOW etc does have is a bunch of online "wellness" influencers being paid to promote it by a number of suppliers who are trying to make as much money from it as quickly as possible before they inevitably get shut down by the MHRA. You'll note that all the suppliers will have small-print on their websites saying that these products are "for research purposes only" because they know they're not allowed to directly market them for use by humans.

Thank you for your reply and explanation. Doesn’t sound great to be honest. Does it? 😬

He shouldn't do it - a lot of them are unlicensed, unregulated stuff.

He could try British Supplements if he needs more energy and 'zing' - Tongkat Ali or Creatine, lots to choose from. They're very helpful with suggestions if he wanted to get in touch with them.

I heard about this craze recently and was horrified. I'm a senior scientist in the pharmaceutical industry and there is no way I'd ever inject anything that was for 'research purposes only'. That means the product hasn't been made in a clean room, hasn't had all the safety tests performed and hasn't had the documentation checked to show the product has been made without any mistakes. If it hasn't happened already someone will die from injecting these peptides. Don't do it.

Teenmam · 09/03/2026 17:44

Following this as interested. A family member has lost 5 stone taking peptides. He swears by them, but has form for believing any internet bullshit. It's hard to find info online that is reliable.

43andnotgettinganyyounger · 09/03/2026 18:57

I don’t want him to do it but he’s made his mind up and won’t change it. He’s ordered all the stuff and it’s arriving at the house.

Gosh, what a surprising number of posts you've made in a short period of time pushing products from that specific website. Smells almost like... astroturfing.

After much research I started injecting (or ‘pinning’, as they call it) Glow peptide, which is Klow minus one peptide. Glow has 3, Klow 4. I am a naturally sceptical person but honestly I’ve found it life changing. My skin is transformed and my energy levels are hugely increased. I am 65 and feel like I’m 35 again. There’s possibly a hideous downside which will only become apparent 10 years from now but honestly, at my age I don’t really care!
