I was in hospital the other week & seemed to get a cold when I was in there - snotty nose, cough, temperature etc.
After a while, it is just slightly gunky when I cough, but now I have pains in my head. (Bear in mind, admitted to hospital at Christmas with severe migrains & had to have a CT scan).
The pain gets worse when I lean forward, bend down. Pain is in the centre of my forehead, not a migraine as able to focus / talk, when typically I'm curled in a ball! The pain is at the very top of my nose, up the forehead, and slightly over the tops of both eyes. When I touch it, the area feels bruised.

Help!

Sinusitis - my husband has had it for the last 10 days

Try beckinase(spelling?) not sure though whether you can only get it via prescription. My husband has been using it and it relieves the pressure.

Nurofen is the trade name for IBUPROFEN. Ibuprofen is completely safe to take with parecetamol products. Remember this though; Ibuprfen can only be taken 6 hourly, unlike the parecetamol which is 4 hourly, so make sure you don't take too many.
Ibuprofen is really good for reducing inflamation, in your case, the sinuses, but also joint pain, any chronic aching.

Absolutely agree insist on being seen or at least speaking to someone on the phone. My GP gave me antibiotics for stubborn sinusitis after a telephone consultation, so maybe yours would be prepared to do the same, worth trying.

Its difficult at the moment, with the exams. I wont be able to insist on speaking to somebody until tomorrow afternoon now, as I have my exam tomorrow morning at half nine, then another exam on Wed, so only Tue afternoon to be annoying!

Thanks for info on ibuorifen, Goober, I tend to take things like nurofen because they're nicely coated and go down easily!

When I was sick at Christmas they were trying me on several different tablets, so I do have some co-codomal in my cupboard but they make me a little drowsy which is not good for studying (which I must get back to!)

Yes beconase is the nasal spray I use, but it only works when the infection is not so advanced that I need anti-biotics. If you are in a lot of pain and your GP refuses to see you, tell them you will have to call the out of hours doctor then..........that might get you seen.
