Frozen shoulder / rotator cuff type issues?

I had a nerve injury in my c spine last summer which lasted for a few months and it never fully recovered as I always had a clicky shoulder and sore bicep after. This gradually got worse and worse, affecting range of movement and severe pain on any arm movements and I had to stop work a few weeks ago.

physio feel it is a rotator cuff type injury / tendonitis from weakness after the nerve injury which has now become / becoming frozen. I can lift my arm up about 3/4 of the way with severe bicep pain, can’t go behind my back at all, very painful to cross my body. Different movements hurt in different places. If I rest my arm and don’t push it (like I was at work) then I have no pain at rest. But pretty much all movement generate a degree of pain but not as bad as I rest it more. My other shoulder is also now showing the same early signs. I’m on naproxen and Amitriptyline so sleep is adequate.

physio are planning injections and then exercises. I can’t work but have no idea for how long. I’m supposed to be going on holiday in 3 months too - I’ve no idea how I’m going to manage all of this right now.

just looking for solidarity, experiences and a shoulder (🤣) to cry on!

It will get better but you are in it for the long haul

I had frozen shoulder (not related to an injury) sufficiently badly that I could barely move my arm behind my lower back. Physio did nothing whatsoever, but one steroidal injection to the shoulder completely cured it within a fortnight.
