I had a UTI 10 days ago. Pharmacy took bp and it was high around 151 over 107 or something. I was then asked to see GP, well then sent it higher to 166 over something.
She said monitor it for a week twice a day. I've been doing that submitted my results. It's gone as low at 117/80 to 140/101. The average is 135/93.
Today I read something online about strokes and heart attacks it's sent me into a panic. I can feel myself panicking and I must have done my BP 20 times today and it's been between 130 and 150 each time making me more stressed the higher the number.
I've put the monitor away, it's making me panic even more.
Should I tell the Dr about today's reading? Or leave the ones I've submitted.

I don’t think they will be concerned about those average readings , they sound fine . Going into a panic will make your BP soar so I would just submit the ones you have already done

The ones you have submitted are fine and nothing to worry about.

do you have things like breathing exercises to help you when you. A feel the panic rising, so that you can calm yourself. Have a look there are loads of easy exercises which will really help.

Guidelines are that the home diastolic (the lower number) should be 85 or under. So your average is slightly high At 93. Leave it a month and repeat the process. Do it twice am and twice pm for a week and take the readings to the GP if the home average is above this.

The more you worry yourself and keep taking it the higher the readings will go! A set taken overtime will be enough, if needs be they will offer a 24 hour monitor next. If it has been as low at 117/80 it is unlikely to be a cause for concern.
