Sleep/Health trackers

Evening :)

Im keen to purchase some kind of tracker that properly tracks your sleep and activities/health. Iv been using a cheap Bluetooth watch that shows steps & sleep etc but it’s not accurate at detecting between being awake or just lying still awake so I can’t get an accurate reading of how bad my sleep really is …
Iv had insomnia for a long time and don’t want to go back to heavy prescribed medication for different reasons but Im curious to see what an accurate tracker would pick up
does anyone recommend one? Or have an Oura Ring? Hume band? Whoop band? Something similar

thanks x

I have an ultra human ring which gives me loads of information about my sleep which I don't know what to do with 🤣

Do you think it’s really accurate? Like does it reflect on how you feel? I think if you had problems in an area it would be useful to see when it’s happening but I know it’s not a fix unfortunately 🤣😭😭

Yeah I think so. I generally don't have too much of a problem with sleep atm as I'm in a good routine. But sometimes I do struggle to get to sleep, and if I don't get enough sleep then it tells me the deficit etc.
It kinda learns your routines and what's normal etc. Let's you know how many sleep cycles you e achieved, the quality of sleep, heart rate variability. If it notices something out of the norm, like of it took longer for your heart rate to drop during sleep it'll ask what affected it last night, did you have a large meal, late caffeine etc. You can add tags so you can go back and see if there are any patterns.
I chose ultrahuman over oura because it's cheaper and there's no monthly subscription.

Does it differentiate between you being awake and having light sleep? Like can it tell that genuinely?

Sort of. Sometimes it thinks I'm in bed when I'm sitting still on the sofa, and sometimes when I'm reading in bed it thinks I'm asleep. I'll attach a screenshot of one night this week. This is only a fraction of the stuff it gives you though.
