Is there anything they can/would do? It's on her scalp, DH has it and I asked my hairdresser friend and she agreed she thinks it is too, it's def not cradle cap. I also wonder if this is really what the manky scabby bits have always been behind her ears in the crease IYSWIM

My only concern is that her hair doesn't seem to be growing where the current bits are, any advice?

I know it's nothing major but I'm for her and I know dh is often uncomfortable because of it.

Having suffered from psoriasis as a child, I always think it's worth going to the GP.

Emollients can really help to add moisture to the skin and you don't have to go down a chemical/prescription route - there are lots of natural remedies that keep psoriasis at bay. If the plaques are quite thick, they could well be hindering hair growth. There are a number of products which your doctor can prescribe which will help to lift the plaques and lessen the itchiness.

But always worth checking with the GP that it is indeed psoriasis.

Poor love - hope she isn't too uncomfortable.

It is worth going and getting it diagnosed. If it is, don't worry about the hair thing - I've found thats temporary with me and comes back when the psoriasis goes.

I have had psoriasis for about 10 years,so only as an adult. On my scalp nothing seemed to work, not the shampoos or the prescription scalp applications. However, recently a dermitologist told me to massage either baby oil, olive or almond oil into my scalp (nice and messy) leave it on all night and wash it off in morning. I do this twice a week and it is the first time in years my scalp has not had dry flaky patches. I can't see that these remedies can do any harm on a 2 year old - except the mess!
