Weird eye bump

Does anyone know what this bump on eyelid is and how to get rid of it? GP says it's a blocked gland and has popped it twice for me, but it refills within a few weeks. It will be great to hear from others who've had the same thing!

I cant see a pic but you may like to try the blepharitis reddit sub, lots with charlizons (sp) and talking about how they deal with it

It's a chalazion. Hot compress advised, or popped. Surprised it keep refilling.

Thank you. It doesn't hurt at all. I tried the hot compress method for weeks before seeing my doctor first, but it didn't do anything.

Try "washing" your eyelids daily with baby shampoo. I was advised to do this after I had a chalazion removed by the hospital eye consultant. Obviously keep your eyes closed and kind of gently scrub them where the eyelashes join the eyelids with your finger covered in baby shampoo. They occur because of blocked glands and this keeps them clear. It may not clear the one you have but will prevent them coming back. You may need it removing, although I'm not sure if that is avayunder the NHS anymore.

Buy some heated eyemasks, just pop them in microwave for 30 mins every morning. Wear them for 10 mins. Then massage in upwards motion at bottom eyelashes and downwards motion at top eyelashes. Then wipe eyelashes with a tea tree eye wipe.

Doesn’t look like a chalazion, looks more like a cyst of Moll.
popping it isn’t best management choice. Lid hygiene is good idea, If it persists see your optometrist for referral to hospital for removal.

I can confirm this is a cyst of Moll and you can self treat with warm compresses in the first instance. Eyelid hygiene is helpful too if you have underlying blepharitis.

It’s rare to refer for surgical intervention.

Feel free to google cyst of Moll.
