partially erupted wisdom tooth pain

My wisdom teeth never came through properly and are what the dentist days are "partially erupted". Every now and then food gets trapped and it's very painful. I suspect that what is causing me pain at the moment is either a raspberry seed or a chia seed. I have got in there with a toothbrush and had a serious go at it, trying to dislodge whatever is in there. There was blood. I will have another go later.

But if it doesn't improve, what else can I do? Bar paying £££ for an emergency dental appointment tomorrow?

You could try a water flosser, if you have one, but, that's what happened with mine when I was in university and it got infected. I'd just get them out if I were you.

Adding, be careful not to irritate it too much, and sorry you're in pain. Dental pain is awful.

It's better this morning. I think my vigorous prodding with a toothbrush last night might have dislodged whatever was in there causing the pain and now it's more bruised gum pain than something stuck pain.

I really don't want them out. I am in my 50s and it's been 30 years since they started to emerge. May just have to stop eating chia seeds.

Hot salty mouthwashes several times a day after eating. Boil the kettle, let it cool to a manageable temperature, pour into a cup, add a little small and swish. Tilt your head on the side the pain is to focus on that area.
Get yourself a single tufted brush which is a concentrated toothbrush so it'll really get in there. Some Corsodyl gel on that brush will also help. If it gets really bad then go to your dentist. I hope you're feeling better!

I always get that around this time of year - I blame the Xmas peanuts - usually settles down within a couple of days itself
