Is it right to not run blood tests if a young person turns up with shortness of breath and palpatations, had an ECG and was told we were wasting resources by being there

I'd be more concerned about the significant anaemia and it's cause than moaning about AE?? Cancer? Bleeding?

Yes it has been looked into thankfully, by the 2nd A and E we attended and we have been given their conclusions.

My dh was discharged from a&e despite his bloods coming back as being in sepsis.

I made him an emergency GP appointment the next day, he sent him to a different a&e. He was admitted and was in 9 days before being well enough to come home.

So yes, it doesn't surprise me that she was discharged when not well. The NHS is fairly broken.

I would write to the CEO of the hospital with your experience. It’s not an acceptable way to deal with someone. When I went into A&E with chest pain they did an ECG but also bloods, which are vital when checking for heart issues. You complaining could save someone’s life. They have no right to say your DD was wasting resources.
