where exactly did your man put the cream?

Please, no silly answers (though I guess I might get some anyway!) I (or dh) really does not know what to do and there is no guidance in the information with the cream.

DP put it on the end of his willy and I think on the head aswell. None on the shaft though.

Basically he just covered the red, sore areas.

just on the end and in the creases, lol.

DumbledoresGirl · 09/06/2008 19:10

Dh doesnt have thrush that I know. I do. I have only had it a few days and we have only had sex once in that time. On another thread earlier, someone found a link to NHS direct saying there is no need for the man to be treated, but I don't want to risk getting it again from dh if I have passed it on to him.

So just on the end? ie pull back the foreskin? Yes?

Yes. thrush may look like tiny red spots on him.

Best bet is for you both to take a dose of fluconazole.

You can get it on prescription or over the counter (Diflucan), but it is pricey if you buy OTC.

ChicaLovesBranstonPickle · 09/06/2008 19:14

Just put it on the end. But it may not work. My doc prescribed me an oral treatment (fluconazil IIRC) and DH's did the same for him after I had repeated bouts of thrush. I think it can be asymptomatic in men.

DumbledoresGirl · 09/06/2008 19:14

STG - do you think? I have already had pessary. Found it hard enough getting hold of the cream but dh has just got it for me.....

was going to say my dh took diflucan as did i. much more effective and 'through' imo.

Chronic thrush sufferer for years DG, until we twigged and broke the cycle with the right treatment.

Men rarely have thrush symptoms, but still pass it on.
