Constant dripping nose in winter - can anything help?

It drives me insane - constantly having to wipe my nose. I also get it when eating and always have done. I think it's called gustatory rhinitis. Is there anything (ideally not prescription) that helps?

The only thing that works for me is a mild steroid spray. I use Flixonase.

Do you have acid reflux? It can be a symptom. I get it too and have reflux.

No acid reflux, I have no idea why I get it, but I've always had it and it's worse in winter. I'll try the steroid spray though.

Oh same here, it starts as soon as the temperature drops and will carry on until May! 🙄

Is that spray available over the counter @Kippykangarooo?

i get a spray on prescription from the GP. Think I just did an e-consult.

It’s the change in temperature. The linings of your nose are sensitive to the cold. It’s the same for some people with asthma. The cold can bring on their wheezing, due to the lining of the lungs being sensitive.

Yes you can buy a steroid nasal spray OTC.
