Spot on pituitary gland help

My son (19) has been going through a couple of years of investigation into the fact he has low testosterone levels. However he is very tall (6’7) which doesn’t really fit with the low testosterone so been having all sorts of investigations. He had an MRI on his pituitary gland and his consultant said there was a spot/shadow on it but he wouldn’t worry about it yet and would have another mri in a year to check it.
Apparently lots of people can have them and doesn’t always need any treatment but it worried me. I always get a bit lost in these appointments and felt blindsided about it so didn’t ask many questions especially as the consultant seemed not bothered.
We have another appointment tomorrow and I just wondered if anyone had advice about what questions I could ask to get some clarity?
Does anyone have any experience of this?

I had an MRI for something unrelated and they found an incidental cyst on my pituitary gland. I had two further annual MRI’s to check it wasn’t growing, and am now discharged. I have no symptoms though.

Thank you @DemonsandMosquitoes that’s good to know

I think the comedian Sue Perkins has had a benign tumour on her pituitary gland for several decades. She doesn't love it (not least because it's prevented her from having kids) but she's still here and apparently in good health apart from that.

My DD also has a benign tumour on her pituitary gland. One tablet a week for 5 years they reckon. Blood tests almost at normal levels within 8m of starting the medication.

I had an MRI (apparently) showing a small tumour on my pituitary gland. Blood tests all normal so they just said to rescan in a year. A year later and it hadn't grown. Then a couple of years later had another head MRI for different reasons and they said it wasn't there and had probably never been there and was a misreading of the original two scans as apparently my pituitary is "bulky" but normal. They seemed to think it couldn't have disappeared as they dont behave like that. The pituitary gland is very small and apparently difficult to see properly.
