I have been suffering with a frozen shoulder for quite a few months, I have agreed to have a cortisone injection, in two weeks time.
i have since been reading that you shouldn’t return to work immediately, before I ask for time off is this the case? I work in a preschool , so likely to be pulled about, lifting etc.

I have frozen shoulder, started in December last year and I had the cortisone injection in February. I remember that it was a bit sore that evening and my shoulder was generally slightly more painful and stiff for about a week after, it hurt to button my trousers which it hadn't before. The main problem though was even after a week it didn't help at all so the injection didn't work for me at all but I've read it does help others.
I didn't need time off work (desk job) but I imagine it would be a lot more difficult working in a pre school, but probably not much different to the pain/lack of movement you currently have.

I've had a few joint injections and I'm always told by my rheumatologist to rest as much as possible for 24 hours. I then just carry on as normal but I have a admin job so a bit different to you . They can be a bit sore for a couple of days.
I've had mixed results - some have worked really well, others not so much.
Is there any chance you could get a Friday appointment so you have the weekend to rest?
Fingers crossed you get a good result

Thank you, I have a telephone appointment with the MSK tomorrow, to ask a few questions about it.
