Leukocytes but no infection?

So I’ve had high levels of leukocytes in my urine for 3 weeks now. On my third lot of antibiotics but all 3 samples sent to the lab have shown no growth.
Ive go no STI either so does anyone know what this could be? Thank you!

It seems so strange! My full bloods came back clear but waiting on kidney/liver function now. It’s the darkest shade of purple so surely it can’t just be nothing?!

I had this and eventually saw a consultant nephrologist who said it’s often contaminated urine samples. That can happen if you hold the container against your body or it just sometimes happens with women because the urine might have cervical mucus in it depending on time of month. He told me unless I had other clear signs of infection ie fever, unusual discharge, pain etc not to take antibiotics anymore.

It’s very common to have leukocytes in the urine with no actual infection - the skin has lots of bacteria on its surface and some of these can be washed into the sample as you pee. That’s why it’s important to catch a mid-stream sample if possible - let the first bit of pee go into the toilet, then catch the next bit in the jar.

All of my samples have been midstream, not touching the skin and I’m still getting +++500 on them so not just small amounts that the doctor would expect with contamination

I had leukocytes in my urine dip because I had thrust.

Omg. I meant thrush.
