How possible a partial or full loss of vision is? How do you manage, just with the drops?
Anyone gone onto having surgery?

I still see very well , just reading glasses, do not drive nor plan to learn to drive, so really curious

Hi, sorry to hear this. My husband was diagnosed about 6 months ago. He has since had surgery which unfortunately was not successful. I think the success rate is 70%. He started drops a month ago and hopefully the drops will successfully reduce the pressure. I think it's a case of trying to reduce the pressure which drops are quite good at. He has an appointment next month to check they're working. He's 76.

My dad has glaucoma and it has improved with just drops. After initial improvement his eye pressure is now stable and within the norm, over the last three years, eyesight hasn’t gotten worse and cataract hasn’t gotten worse either. Eye drops are just part of his routine now and no bother.

My mum, aged 96, has had glucoma for about 26 years. It’s easily managed by drops - she has only recently in the last year started wearing glasses.
