I will attach a photo. Had Severe Eczema flare up for months I'm on a medication but hasn't done a great lot. Red face and neck and chest currently. Used so many creams and ointments sometimes they make my face more Red. Had a comment from a staff member on Thursday at Barclays Bank about my condition which made me feel a million times worse as I already don't go out much because of how I look. My Daughter has an Awards ceremony tomorrow and I just dread people looking at me and commenting. I havent been wearing make up as my face just burns and the redness comes through. Picture is of my neck ill post. I was thinking of wearing a scarf do people wear scarfs at an indoor event? It's about my Daughter not about me and how Red I am? Rather than not going to her Awards ceremony? Replies appreciated Thankyou.

Don't let one rude person spoil you attending. You're a person who has brought up an award winning daughter, hold your head high.

Oh Op that looks so tender and sore, you poor thing!

I don’t have eczema but another autoimmune skin condition and I know how uncomfortable I feel being out when its flared up, I feel so conspicuous and like everyone is looking at my redness! My neck and chest gets really red too, but life has to go on and you can do this tomorrow and yes, wear a scarf if it makes you feel more comfortable, and enjoy being there for your DD tomorrow 💐

@Dreamer2027 DD had awful issues with eczema so I paid for a consultation with a private dermatologist (who also works for the NHS).

The consultant did a barrage of skin tests and discovered that there were a couple of ingredients in most skin care creams, eczema creams and shampoos that she is allergic to. Since DD stopped using those products her skin cleared up.

If you can afford it I really recommend going down this route.

People wear scarves at indoor events they are widely available and very fashionable. Just wear a lightweight cotton one. Although it might make feel more uncomfortable but as a one off to get through it then yes.

I would not worry, it isn't unsightly at all. People can be thick and rude, just smile nod and move on if anyone comments.

Tbh it doesn't even look like eczema to me it looks more like urticaria. I presume you've tried an anti bac ointment like fucibet?

Good luck to your dd!
