My 15yo daughter has this year developed regular headaches and sometimes migraines. This week alone she's been given paracetamol 4 x by the school.

The GP prescribed a nasal spray which has taken the edge off the migraines, but doesn't stop the regular headaches.

She eats well, gets good sleep and (because I nag her) drinks water regularly. We took her to the opticians recently and she does not need glasses.

We have a private GP appointment next week as I can't get another NHS one for 5 weeks. I'd love to your experience of what helped with you or your child's headaches, just so I can make sure we don't leave without a solid plan in place to help her manage them. I'd hate to be told 'it's just one of those things'.

Thank you

Thank you! That's interesting, an osteopath wouldn't even have occurred to me.

Neck stiffness and pain can cause headaches. I've been getting migraines since I was nine years old but any problems with my neck and my migraine attacks can increase fourfold. I see an osteopath to help when that happens.

Triptans are the only thing that helps stop a migraine in its tracks but they still leave me with a headache and a "migraine hangover". Far better than an actual migraine however.
